INK JET IMAGING TECHNOLOGY

Your Bar Code Authority From Coast to Coast!

For almost 30 years, Rowan Business Forms has been a leading national source for ink jet imaged bar codes, modulus numbering, Jumbo numbering and variable data text imaging. Rowan offers state-of-the-art imaging services from concept to design to technical assistance and on through production. With our current technology, Rowan can image both in-line and off-line, on any and all parts of continuous or unit sets plus cut sheets and label material. (Sorry, no duplexing available).
Our latest Scitex ink jet technology features high speed imaging in an area up to 8 1/2" wide with a laser quality resolution of 240 x 240 dot rows. Ink jet imaging is available on all forms sizes produced at Rowan and on all substrates except certain coated stocks.
On a limited basis we offer off-line imaging on existing products such as envelopes or cut sheets. Contact customer service for details.

BAR CODES

All major bar code symbologies are available at Rowan Business Forms: Code 39, Code 128, UCC 128; Interleaved 2 of 5, Straight 2 of 5, Codabar, EAN, Code 93, UPC (consecutive and static) plus Postnet bar coding for direct mail projects. (Our services include CASS Coding and NCOA.)
Our low and medium density codes are available with custom programmable features including modulus check digits (all algorithms); discreet characters; human readable numbers in various sizes and orientations. Our bar codes can be imaged on multiple parts in both parallel (picket fence) and perpendicular (ladder) orientations. We can also image multiple bar codes on a single ply as well as combinations with other variable data.
(NOTE: to supplement our ink jet technology, Rowan also has Code 39 medium density and Codabar MOD 9 mechanical machines available on all our 4 1ž4", 5 1ž2", 8 1ž2" and 11" forms sizes. These codes are fixed sizes and must be oriented perpendicular to web direction).

SPECIAL NUMBERING

Ink Jet imaged arabic numbering is available on all forms sizes including Jumbo numbers and all Modulus formulas. Red or black ink is available on numbering up to 1" (parallel to web direction in one or two positions). In black ink only we offer ink jet numbering up to 3" in all orientations, multiple positions, and multiple parts. Maximum image area is 8 1ž2". Contact us to discuss your application.

VARIABLE DATA IMAGING

This unique service and technology enables Rowan to offer a combination of bar codes, consecutive numbering, random number and text data such as names and addresses on forms applications. We accept standard media such as 9-track magnetic tapes ( 6250bpi), 100 meg Zip disks, 31ž2" disks, or electronic transfer of data. (PC compatible please. Excel or ASCII Please) Our services include CASS certification as well as National Change of Address (NCOA) on your mailing list. This service is ideal for direct mail pieces, tax forms and documents, police tickets; retail forms with multiple address locations and many other applications.
